    Hello and welcome to Spark People! It's great to see that you are motivated to lose 30 pounds by September 15th, but a word to the wise is that you need to be even more specific than that to reach your goal. You need to put what your commitments are going to be in order to get there. For example:

    -I will walk at lunch at a moderate speed for 30 minutes at least three times a week

    -I will take a walk with my family for 30-60 minutes after dinner at least twice a week

    -I will follow the Spark People plan (or stay within daily calorie/fat/protein limits set by Spark People of not following plan) most days of the week

    -I will only allow myself one cheat meal a week, but will still track it

    -I will drink a minimum of 8 8-ounce glasses of water a day

    and the list goes on, but you get the idea. Good luck and I wish you the best! emoticon
