Oubache is the Native American word for the Wabash, a river that runs near our home and that I see every day. Some days the river runs fast, and others it's a bit lazier. It can be calm and serene, or swift and exciting. The Wabash changes every day. Like the river, I am changing every day as I try to live a healthier life. Some days I'm quiet, some days I'm in a rush, but I'm always moving forward. That is why I chose the screen name Oubache.

I have been struggling with my weight for years. It seems I always need to lose 15 or 20 pounds. I'm a very active person, and do my best to eat healthy meals, but the weight never comes off very quickly. Therefore, I try to focus on being healthy, but there will always be a skinny girl in me trying to get out.

My Goals:
My goal is to finally figure out what it takes to get this weight off and then KEEP it off. I love running but I love food, especially sweets, so finding balance and learning how to fuel this body correctly remains a challenge for me.


My Program:
I have been running for about 4 years now and love it. I run with a group at a local running store 2 or 3 times per week. I've run over 30 5Ks and three half-marathons. I really enjoy the challenge and how great I feel after a run.



Personal Information:
My name is Jennifer and I live in north central Indiana. I enjoy being outside, gardening and working in the yard. I especially enjoy herb gardening and growing heirloom varieties of flowers and vegetables.


Other Information:
I enjoy my pets, reading, genealogy, travel, gardening, and, of course, running. My husband and I have 2 grown daughters.
