Before SP: 253 1/21/12 243 4/22/13 170 5/12/14 190 11/3/15 223 *UPDATE 2015* I gained 20 pounds after getting married in 2014. This was probably due to the fact that we were eating out all the time and I got very comfy and inactive. Fast forward to 2015: I had a baby. I gained a lot more weight then I expected. I dropped 20 pounds within a few days of having him, but it''''s been 7 months now and I''''m still stuck with 50 unwanted pounds. Time for a reboot. (New goals posted in blog.) *UPDATE 9/11/13* I have not reached normal BMI. I''''m sure I will in time, but I have decided to slow my progress and enjoy where I am at. I am healthy and comfortable and have a fair amount of energy. So...I HEREBY DECLARE MAINTENANCE! *UPDATE 6/13/13* 90+ pounds lost! I took some time away from Spark after I got my wisdom teeth removed, and I went on vacation to Seattle. I have not been exercising as much (still distance running) and I am continually under eating, which is bad. I will get back into the swing of things. I am so close! *UPDATE 3/21/13* 70+ pounds lost! It never gets old, this accomplished feeling. I can''''t believe it''''s actually working! I can''''t believe that I''''m actually losing the weight that I couldn''''t even lose when I was in high school and I had a youthful metabolism still.I''''m so incredibly proud of myself. *UPDATE 1/24/13* Today I celebrate 1 year since taking my life back. I hit a rough patch this past month and gained back 10 pounds (blame the holiday over-eating), but I put myself back together in January and I am back to my original 60 pound loss! Woohoo! *UPDATE 12/13/12* 60+ pounds lost. I am FINALLY in the 180s! It feels like it took FOREVER but I did it :) A couple things to note: I am no longer obese. I am running on the treadmill 3x a week and working on increasing my speed. Everyday is faster than the last. Yesterday I ran 5 kilometers in under 35 minutes. I am getting better all the time! *UPDATE 9/28/12* 50+ pounds lost. I am in ONEderland!!!!!!! I stood on that scale and stared in disbelief this morning. I did it, ME, I made it to this point! Anything is possible folks. Anything. *UPDATE 8/17/12* 45+ pounds lost. I am currently fitting in clothes from my high school closet. These are all my clothes that I just CAN''''T part with. July was touch and go, but August is another story. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.... *Update 6/8/12* 30 some pounds are down and I am beginning to finally see ME. Thank you to my spark friends for letting me get to know you and cheer you on in your journey. I feel honored to be in your lives. Thank you for also for being here for me and keeping me accountable. HUGS. 1/24/12 This year I came to the realization that I was out of control. I gained another 25 pounds, I was constantly overeating, and horribly depressed. I hate every picture I am in and my nieces and nephews are noticing that auntie is lumpy and boring, because I can''''t keep up with them. Time for a change. I am so grateful that Sparkpeople exists.

Rt Bicep: 12 (Starting 16.5)
Chest: 33 (Starting 46)
Waist: 28.5 (Starting 39.5)
Hip: 40 (Starting 51)
Rt Thigh: 24 (Starting 33.5)
Rt Calf: 15 (Starting 17.5)

I've not always measured my progress, but since January 2012 I've lost about 51.5 inches. I'd like to lose 16 more.

    Hi!! I'm getting back at posting to Spark People and I was looking through my Spark Goodies and I noticed a couple that you had given me waaaaaaaaaaaay back, 2012! lol I don't remember if I even acknowledged them (and just realized today that these things can come with notes, so I don't think I read the note!)

    Anyway, read you last blog, from 2013, just checking with you, how did 2014 pan out for you!!

    I got my butt in gear and started doing something I have always wanted to do - RUN!! So I am using Jeff Galloway's plan and I'm running!

    I hope that you have kept it up too!

    Hi! Thanks for your comments about my post - I'm glad you found it useful. I know what it feels like to be stuck in a place you don't want to be, and I empathize with anyone in that situation. But it's definitely possible to move forward. It takes some work to learn how to "kick the hamsters off the wheel," but it gets easier!

    You have done an awesome job at reaching your weight-loss goals! I know you can do anything you put your mind to!
