Will keep my fingers crossed for the "elusive exercise cat"...let us know if you have any luck with her. Sure would be nice if she settles in near you to make a home. mary

Thank you for wishing me to feel better. I cancelled all plans I had for today. Stayed inside and drank lots of liquids, took extra vit c, rested and was on the computer more than normal, and started reading a book. I think I am better tonight and hopefully better tomorrow. I did get my flue shot earlier, that is another benefit of volunteering for hospice. We get free flue shots.

    Have a good night.

I got started in hospice as a way to pay back. My son is a cancer survivor and I joined the local hospital's hospice where he had treatment. They have training that you take before you actually start volunteering. I had always wanted to be a nurse and for various reasons that never worked out so this is a way to fill that void. Volunteering is helping the families and patients and I get more from it than I give. Some situations are more difficult than others but you are so appreciated by all you come in contact with. If you are interested just look up hospice in your area or call one of the local hospitals. There are various ways you can volunteer some need office volunteers, drivers etc.

Thanks for asking. Think about it. PJ

P.S. My given name is Patricia Anne hows that for a coincidence, but go by PJ.
