Hi!
I am 24 and trying to make some lifestyle changes to be healthier!!!!! I would really like to lose at least 65 pounds. I have a long way to go and I am hoping that I will find the support here to make it happen!

I joined this about a year and a half ago, but never got myself to get involved here. I am committed this time to sticking it out and losing all that weight!!!

This time I am taking things a bit slower. I am taking the time to set goals and slowly progress. I am definitely still in the fast break stage.

My quote that I am trying to remember is:

A year from now, you may wish you had started today- Robert Schulle

This quote reminds me that with a slow start, I can stick with it and a year from now... I will have achieved my goal!

Fitness Minutes: 45

My Goals:
Short term:

Lose 5 pounds by the end of Feb.

Long term:

lose 70 pounds in the next year (I believe I can do it by Halloween..well at least that is what the little tracker thing here said. lol! Woohoo..hot little costume here I come.)


My Program:
I plan to:

1. Work out six days a week for a minimum of 1/2 hour. Typically on an elliptical, but this might change.

2. Drink a minimum of 4 liters per day.

3. Get 8 hours of sleep.

4. Stay within my caloire goal range of 1370 and 1720 calories per day.

The reasons that motivate me to lose big:

1) I want to be able to shop for clothes without so much aggrevation. I want to find clothes in normal size stores and not pay extra for clothes I don't like as much.

2.) I want to have the energy to do the outdoor activities I enjoy with friends. I want to enjoy the variety of outdoor activities I love without worrying about slowing friends down, hurting myself, or just being too out of breath.

3.) I want to prevent and manage health issues. Diabetes and high blood pressure run in my family.

4.) I want to feel better about how I look. I am sick of feeling like a second class citizen because I am fat.

5.) I want to be more confident in myself and look better for job interviews. (that was kind of number 4, but the interview thing is specific... I know that fat people are discrimenated against at jobs. I don't think it should happen, but losing weight will make things easier).

    Hi! Thanks for stopping by...sorry it took me so long to get back to you!

    It seems we do have a lot in common! How's the snow up north treating you? I loved NAU, but I'm glad to be gone...being there taught me that I don't like small towns!

    Good luck with your weight goals and with school. Let me know if you have any questions about the psych classes or instructors...because chances are i've taken the class or had the professor!
