I'm a wife, mother to 4 children (31,21,20 and 19), a Registered Nurse working full time as a manager. Trying to become healthier after being heavy all my adult life. I was in a car accident 5 years ago and injured my knee and hip - still using a cane to walk and pain is my daily companion.

I have been tracking my food, using SP seated videos, reading all the resources, blogging and grateful for the support of SP friends for 91 days straight! WooHoo!

My Goals:
Lose 30 lb by Nov 3/15

Keep HgbA1c below 7%

Strength Training - 4 x per week



My Program:
Track my food every day

Stay within calorie range 6 days out of 7

Eat whole foods mostly prepared at home. Consciously try to avoid artificial foods, preservatives, HFCS.

Eat all foods in moderation. No bad food. Choose foods that I love to eat so I don't feel deprived.

Will try to reduce gluten to see if this helps my arthritis pain.

Include 10 min of fitness daily with combination of cardio and strength training with SP videos.

Walk dog 3x per week.



Personal Information:
im a 50+ Canadian living and working in Toronto. - I've worked in paediatrics all my nursing career. I have so much weight to lose but I need and want to feel stronger and energized. I'm recovering from a car accident that injured my knee and hip but I was heavy before that. I use a cane to walk and have been less mobile because it hurts. But I'm getting better - and so is the pain.


Other Information:
Thank you God - I feel your love like a whisper of a hug. In my darkest moments, I am not alone. I pray for strength to sustain me on this path to greater health.
