I'm Shannon. I'm 34, live 10 minutes outside of Boston with my husband and and son Amir, and Denver, our kitty.

Amir was born 7/14/08 and is the love of my life. He's being exclusively breast fed, which is a great incentive for eating well. I allow myself treats but the majority of the food I'm eating is healthy to produce healthy food for my little guy! There's a few pounds of baby weight left which I'd like to drop before his first birthday, then an additional few pounds to get to a weight that healthy and happy for me.

I spend my time reading, shopping, cooking & traveling. I love to run, do yoga and Pilates. I also enjoy taking long walks through Cambridge and Boston with my family.

My Goals:
To make this a total lifestyle change so that I never have to think about significant weight loss again! My long-term goals are to lose the last 20 lbs of baby weight then to lose an additional 15.

Current goal: to lose the remainder of my baby weight gain by Amir's 1st birthday, July 14.

My Program:
Not obsessed about calories, though I'm starting to watch them, and trying to stay under 2,000. But eating as healthy and clean as possible is the main goal.

For exercise I love running, walking, yoga, and Pilates. Oh, and Bollywood dancing with my two left feet. I suck, but it's fun!

I love to laugh and to make others laugh. On any given day you can find me extremely extroverted or painfully shy. I'm an activist at heart and my heart is in youth work. 50% of girls manage their weight by vomiting, skipping meals, smoking, or laxatives. Isn't it time we change the way we see and treat our bodies???
