I'm going back to wanting a healthy life style. What that means to me......Eating right, working out, making good choices all around, and I won't stress over every little thing!

I've have gained and lost the same 20 pounds about 4 times now. My highest weight (that I'm aware of) is 177. 4 years ago I lost 30 pounds and got to my lowest as an adult of 147. Once I got to that weight I hit a wall and my weight loss stopped. I lost all 30 pounds eating right and working out, no fad diets! Over the last 3 years I have put on weight and lost some just to gain it back. I am so sick of playing the weight game. I am now back up high again. I start 2010 weighing 172. I want this year to be the year, I finally get in to swim suit without feeling fat. I want next year to be the 1st year I don't have weight on my list of things to do.

Goal, to reward myself every 10 pounds:

164-Tanning package ******2-10-10
154-Get nails done
144-New Coach bag
134-New swim suit
125-Final goal-Lots of new clothing!!!

My Goals:
To learn how to keep a healthy life style. I want to workout regularly and eat good with out giving up after a few months!

My Program:
I plan on getting up in the morning and burning around 300 calories or running for 30 minutes on my treadmill. Do weights in the afternoon and walk in the evening 5 to 6 days a week.

Personal Information:
I am the mother of 2 kids and I don't plan on having any more so this is my time to shead those extra pounds and feel GREAT!

Other Information:
I live in South East Kansas. It usually gets Hot in the summer and very Cold in the winter. I work full time, go to school 3 nights a week.

    For the past 6 weeks I have been running every OTHER day. I have a base of 2.5 miles. At the beginning of the training (6 weeks ago) I slowing added distance. NOW, I am running every other day, but, I do One day of "hills" one day of speed an "easy run" and then I do a long run with 2 days off to follow for recovery. I think that "week" is 9 days long. Then I repeat. On the off days I will walk on the treadmill. As the weather gets better I am hoping to get on my bike. I am not pushing myself. I hope to get where I need to be by the end of April; worst case I will walk a bit. But I really need to do this!!!!

    Food....I am trying to train myself to eat it for fueling up. It is sucha challenging thing to learn.

    Hey girl! thanks for the encouragement!!! I'm doing good. This evening I started having a bad headache and I looked at the food I'd eaten. I'd only had about 900 cals and only 17 grams of fat. I'm supposed to have at least 1200 cals and at least 30 grams of fat. I think it really affected my mood. I went and had a little more to eat. I'm gonna exercise then try to get some rest. I can't starve myself! I didn't mean to. But damn it really affected me today.

    I think you meant that you've been running...NOT JOGGING! ;) Excellent on the spring 5k! Yes, I have my first 1/2 marathon in May. I am up to 5 miles so, we'll see. As long as I stick with my training program I should be ok. My most challenging "angle"is food. But, I'm developing some good habits and seem to be on a roll. :)

    I hope to continue checking in and certainly would love to offer up some motivation and encouragement. Please, just let me know how to lend you a hand.
