I have battled my weight most of my life and I am tired of trying to find a diet that will actually work for me. This is my 4th time this year alone and I know that this is the place for me. I refuse to quit and will be a sparkpeople until I have reached my goals.

Weight Loss Vision Statement

I want to improve my health and well being by losing weight and having a more active lifestyle. I lost my mother 5 years ago to kidney failure due to diabetes. She battle with her weight for as long as I can remember. She died when my son was 18 months old and never met my only daughter. I have come to a realization that if I am not healthy, my family is not healthy because in my role as a wife and mother, I cannot take care of them if I cannot take care of myself. I WILL lose weight until I have reached a healthy weight. I WILL maintain that weight. I WILL implement exercise in my daily schedule. I WILL, if God willing, live a long, healthy life with my husband, my children and all of my grandchildren. I WILL stop making excuses and take responsibility for my bad eating habits and my bad exercise habits. I want to be able to have more energy, be able to move more freely and not get tired so quickly when doing physical activities. I want to be able to go out and do more physical things with my children. Finally, WHEN I fall, which I will, I will immediately pick myself right back up and continue on.

My Goals:
1. Lose 10 pounds by October 1, 2014. Goal 230.

2. Do 30 minutes of cardio every other day.

3. Do strength training every other day, minimum 30 minutes.

My Program:
I intend to follow sparkpeople as close as I can possibly can. My goals are:

1. To eat what is recomended on my program daily.

2. To follow the fitness program that is recommended daily.

3. Post on my teams daily.

Personal Information:
My name is Sylvia. I am 50 . I have been married to a wonderful man for the past 13 years. We have 4 children and a grandson. Having younger children at my age and now a grandchild is a big motivation in that I want to live to see them grow up.

Other Information:
I enjoy watching TV and movies, listening to music, doing arts and crafts, computer games and spending time with my family.
