Hi, I'm Helen and I'm looking to find some wonderful Spark People to help me on my journey! I have always been on the "chubby" side and in my early 40's I joined Weight Watchers and got down to within 4 pounds of my goal weight. I kept my weight off for a lot of years but it has slowly crept back on and now I feel "blah" again. I would love to loose my weight and feel good about myself again.

Fitness Minutes: 5,338

My Goals:
My goals are to try and eat a lot healthier now I am on my own. I need to learn to cook and eat my meals and not just snack when I feel hungry. I have to increase my exercise and remember to drink my water and weigh or measure my food or count the calories. I know these work for me.

My Program:
I am doing walk arobics most days for 30 minutes. Yoga each day for about 30 minutes. Strength training with my weights every other day for 15 to 20 minutes at this point. Water arobics at least twice a week in a class lasting 45 minutes.

Personal Information:
I am an Australian living in the U.S. I met and married a Texan who passed away 11 months after we married from cancer. However I believe God has a plan for my life and I am where I am at any given time because that is where I am supposed to be. I miss my Australian friends probably more than I miss living there.
I have 3 dogs, 2 pomeraians and a chocolate dachshund.

Other Information:
I love crafts especially quilting which I do when I have the time and enjoy the hand applique work for this as well. I also enjoy reading. My preferences would be unsolved or solved true murders and historical reading. As well I enjoy reading books of fiction.
