Hi! I am BACK ON SP, ON MY TREK to get and stay healthy! My goal is to lose about 66 pounds. I previously lost 40 with SP in 2006, but due to my vertigo/migraines and my Mom's cancer, I gained it back, as of 8/29/11. I rejoined SP 10/7/14. So this is my Third SP Trek!! I love cats, walking, and Star Trek, hence "Trekpurrson"! I'd love to get some help from others, who have sleep apnea, bad knees, pre-diabetes. All can be resolved by weight loss! We can "trek back to good health"!

Rejoined Spark People on 10/7/2014--my 3nd Spark Trek!

I am taking charge of my health to beat sleep apnea, by losing about 66 pounds.


My Program:
I am walking at least 30-60 minutes 5-7 times a week, and tracking, using Fitbit Zip Tracker, and Spark People for blogging.
I am continuing working on a Streak: "Don't snack mindlessly in the evening."

I love reading, especially children's books and science fiction.

Below 194*(Safe from severe sleep apnea at this weight!): Done on 2/6/2015! Yay! I am halfway to my GOAL!

Out of 190's: Done on 5/1/2015! It took me 5 LONG months to lose this 10 pounds, BUT I DID IT!! About 25 more pounds to go!! On 5/8/2015, I reached 40.4 lbs lost with WW and bought new clothes! Down 3 sizes in tops and 4 sizes in jeans! Woohoo!

    What brings you joy? We all have different things that trigger thoughts and feelings of happiness or joy. What is most important in being able to find and feel the happiness or joy in our lives is being present to recognize it in the moment. Mindfulness. By doing this, you turn off all the extraneous stuff that is distracting, and constantly vying for your attention.

    Why not open yourself up to your happiness and joy? Let's use this new month of June to consciously be mindful and present. Let's be willing to open ourselves up to all the happiness our heart can hold! Actively seek out the things that bring you pleasure, happiness, peace, contentment, or better yet - pure joy. Allow life to bring you the spontaneity it has been waiting to give to you. As they come to you, and you begin to notice them, and absorb them into your heart and soul, thankfully allow yourself to sit and soak in the sunshine of each of those moments so lovingly sent to refuel your body, mind, spirit, and soul.
