I'm a single woman as of 8/5/14. It's been a heckova year. I am down almost to where I was in 2011 - 203 as of Tues 9/30/14. I'm getting back to regular exercise and am eating better. Haven't set new goals yet, still trying to get a rhythm in my life. I started working in June and am loving it, but my schedule is all over. Some days I open, some I close ... part-time between 20 and 30 hours. I'm working on getting my massage business up and running.

-----------Can I just say that I am very happy to be a Sparkie! The positivity here has helped me so much! I am now in the midst of a divorce, and I have my second hip replacement surgery scheduled. Life just bludgeons you sometimes! My sparkies help me stay positive! Thanks!

A lot has happened since 2/13. Some good, some bad and some ugly. I won't get into everything here, suffice to say I was very negatively impacted. On top of still having to use a cane the motivation was GONE. ok .. trying not to be a whiner ... will be back on track ... WILL BE BACK ON TRACK! Thanks for the love!

=============Not a lot new, still trying to get some routine back. Complicated by my husband retiring and a host of attendant changes. I have been focusing on healthy eating, now need to buckle down! ==========================================
===========almost 2 months out from surgery, and I'm on a cane, full weight bearing and walking fairly well. Now the issue is my other hip. Which my surgeon has already said will need replacement at some point. Yeah me!

=============On 10 Oct '12 I underwent Total Hip Replacement surgery on my right hip. It is going into my 4th week post surgery. I am partial weight-bearing. This means using a walker! Prognosis is good ....

Hit 51 in Feb '12 .. and things are pretty much the same. I have maintained the weight loss to date .. but am stuck hovering around 200 ... I have been consistently going to the Y 2 - 3 times per week. Just need to increase the time spent there.

I'm the BIG 50! Things are not shaking out the way I wanted. Seems my weight loss journey is fraught with perils! I've injured myself .. and now am looking at a long road to recovery. Dr told me running is not a good choice for me ... dagnabit!!

I have been unable to walk or do any exercise involving my legs/hips for the last 8 months with any regularity. I'm seeing an intergrative physician and I'm getting better slowly. I'm still keeping my nutrition fairly good ... not regaining weight.

I'm not sure what the future holds .. but I'm a SPARKIE FOR LIFE!! I'm in it to lose it!! lol

I'm a native NYer , but have lived in CA, DC, GA and now DE. I was a military spouse for 22 years, now divorced.
I homeschool my 2 dd's .. and usually have a great time with that.

My hobbies include knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, scrapbooking and having fun!

    Dear friend, Thanks for responding to my blog post for help. I am doing better with my focus on health. I joined a SP challenge and I am determined to create my Vision Collage if that's what its called. I have all sorts of magazine clippings that I like and I'm going to create something that will motivate me to keep pressing on!

    I'll be praying for your surgery to be completely absolutely successful and for the healing to be speedy so that you are feeling better than ever. :)

    Thanks, V, for the cleaning service. I can sure use it. Things here are moment by moment. Today I feel fairly strong, but have been having a rough time. 5 months as a caregiver ( plus mom and employer and all the other hats I wear) is taking a toll. Craig is very weak and tired from radiation. It will be over next Friday. I hope we have at least a short period after that that is easier.

    thanks for comment, and my doctor gave no diet or plan to deal with thyroid so on my own about this. We don't have that great a doctor base to choose from. Guess I will continue what I was doing on Spark, and the foods that aggravate thyroid, i do not eat anyway, so guess that is good. Sad how we have disinterested doctors, not much help at all.
