Gold-digger (noun): a person who mines and extracts gold. Sparkpeople.com has turned me a grandmother into a ‘gold-digger’. I am extracting everything I can get from Sparkpeople to my advantage to lose weight and to live a healthier lifestyle. There is the pre-planned menu’s that you can pay for if you get your own nutritionists. There are exercise videos, but of course if you choose you can buy your own or hiring your own personal fitness trainer and pay $$$$$ per session. You can go to a local meeting with others that are losing weight and pay $$$$$ or you can join a weight loss team and get support anytime day or night, not just when you go to a weekly meeting. There is tons of information on health issues that are there for us Gold-diggers like me. This is 2010 and it has finally dawned on me that I do have a gold-mine with Sparkpeople and I ain’t giving it up!!! In the words of Stacy Ann Ferguson……”I ve overcome fear. I’ve pushed through it. I dusted myself off and gave it another go.”

My Program:
Eating smaller portions
To continue to watch the portion sizes that I eat.
To move and exercise at least 3x weekly

    Thank you for commenting on my blog! Tony Horton is a physical trainer who has put together just the right amount of exercises to focus on all areas of the body for the results anyone is looking for. He has many different videos out.

    I began my program with his beginners P90. The DVD is only 30 minutes long, including the stretch. In January of this year, I weighed in at 148 lb. This week, I am 117.7. Woohoo!

    I am starting Tony's P90X today, which is his extreme workout which focuses on toning the body. I think it is a wonderful program and would recommend it to anyone. Hint: You can find these videos at beachbody.com. But, you can find the same exact ones on Ebay for much cheaper prices! Check out the P90 website for details on each program, and decide which one is right for you. I can almost guarantee you a big difference if you keep at it! Let me know if you need further details.
