Just wanting to keep track of my progress and stay motivated...making a few new friends would be a bonus. :)

Fitness Minutes: 665

My Goals:
When I first moved here to Norway (8 years ago), I was 97 kg (213 lbs), and I've so far gotten that down to around 88 kg (at one point, I was at 80, but it went back up again). My long-term goal is to lose 23 kg (50 lbs) in a year or less. Want to look better, feel better, be healthier and hopefully live longer. My short-term goal is to get down to breast reduction weight, which is 79 kg (174 lbs). I'm also taking Xenical to help with the weight loss.


My Program:
Just started at the local gym (signed up for a year), and am wanting to burn 1,500 calories a week there, going 4-5 times a week. The first week I burned 1,300 in 4 visits. Am going there with hubby in order to keep motivated. I've also been really inspired by watching all the videos of the Joy Fit Club: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/26184891/vp/

Am a remarried, 38yo stay-at-home mom of 2 kids, originally from TX, now living in Norway with kids, hubby and kitty. Am also an artist/craftsperson: SwandogStudio.com

Things I like:
Traditional Christianity, animals, anthro & mythical creatures, nature, gardening, forest & beach walks, arts & crafts, plushies & collectibles, fantasy & sci-fi, furry fandom, renfaires, costumes & cosplay, board & card games, britcoms, action-suspense-thrillers, superhero movies, REAL medical & cop shows, animated movies, anything paranormal, books, cooking (mainly ethnic & homestyle food), music (50s-80s pop, folk, celtic, classic country, classic rock, prog rock, bluegrass, monk chanting, classical, etc.), antiques/vintage & retro stuff, and traveling...just to name a few. :)


Other Information:
Have several health issues (fibromyalgia, chronic fatique, an old bullet wound with a retained bullet, etc.) that make exercise a major challenge for me. If I push it too much, or do anything aerobic, I start coughing up blood, so I have to take things slow...literally, one step at a time. :)
