I need to get on board, hold myself accountable and just get on with life.

It seems that my focus on losing weight and all my talk about self care has been just that for so long now.

I did some soul searching, thought about why WW and LA Weight Loss worked in the past and decided accountability is a big part of their program.

My weekly blogs will be a stream of consciousness that I can look back on to monitor where my head was at in addition to see where the scale went ...up or down.

The blogs stopped but the accountability has not because the buck stops here. I can't go another month, year without getting closer to my goals because quitting is not an option.

My Goals:

My goal is to turn back the clock by losing 100 lbs. I realize now that a quick fix will not do but rather a dedicated and concerted effort toward developing a new lifestyle is truly the answer.

It requires dedication and consistency and maybe being a little easier on myself. One of my biggest problems is turning one mistake into a binge which makes it harder to get back on track. I think Dr. Oz called it a U turn but I would say it's more like driving right back out of the ditch you dug.


My Program:

Had success with Weight Watchers way back in the day and does anyone remember LA Weight Loss. The one thing they both have in common is counting exchanges which to me is a simple way of keeping track of your macros which seems to be in vogue. I started intermittent fasting but found it limiting and soon as I feel deprived I go on and on with a world tour, never ending last supper. Now I figure 12 hours without eating is a fairly solid effort in giving my system a rest.



Personal Information:

Fresh start #970...new chapter is my constant mantra. They say that has something to do with being a Scorpio. Live in Calgary, Alberta Canada

Refer to myself as Babe as it is an old nickname from childhood that my dad had for me and I joke that to claim it you got to name it......let's hear it for a self fulfilling prophecy.

    Why not schedule some time each day to sit quietly and ask "yourself" for help in letting go of these things that have been holding you back to allow more room in your life for new things to arrive? As you let go of these things, feelings, along with emotions that are literally "holding you hostage", you open the front door to the universe to usher in something better for you. Think of it just as you do about looking forward to opening your windows and letting in all the fresh spring air to get rid of all the "stuffiness of winter" in your house - a breath of fresh air into your life!

    Let's get our motivation going by opening up the windows to the sweet, gentle breezes of opportunity and positivity, and let all of that fresh air in! Take a deep breath and feel the energy flow into your being.

    Hello Colette! How's it going? I'm doing ok. I'm working on getting back to the gym, now that it has re-opened. The pool is supposed to re-open this week. I sure hope so because I missed using the pool.

    I am trying to grow carrots, lettuce and strawberries. My drip line was not working great but I think I have that sorted out, so we will see if things improve.
