PositivelyGood Morning! This is the 2nd most popular hike on Oahu, the ridge trail above my home! The views are amazing, I will attempt this trail on Friday, weather permitting no rain in forecast.

We ate our Ohana Meal with my next door neighbor (extended Ohana) last night. Ate, then has Jam session, singing Hawaiian music, I played the ukulele, itâ€™s been a long time! Sang songs and gave thanks to our heritage.
I brought my homemade luau leaf stew, raw white Hawaiian crab, and poi. He made the (top) Choy Sum, Steak, Kimchi salmon w/cabbage.

Two of my neighbors, each â€œwater menâ€ in their own right, have offered to take me out to paddle board! I am so excited and pray for clear water conditions this week. itâ€™s been raining, which is good we welcoming the rain, but it changes the water conditions, so we wait until clear seas prevail.

I really enjoyed my walk today, 3.5 miles. I met the cutest Pig along the way, hiked two steep streets in my valley total, took that pic of Koko Head, and just enjoyed all the flowers dancing the hula with the wind.

Thrive In Wellness!Papio (Trevally) Season In Hawaii
Feeling blessed beyond words! My neighbor gave me a 10lb. Papio he caught this morning, cleaned, scaled, fillets. This fish is sweet and meaty, very popular in Hawaii.
I prepared it En Papiote style, with my shoyu, ginger, garlic sauce. I also made a tofu salad to accompany the fish w/bean sprouts, watercress, tomatoes and tofu.

The verdant valley I call home. Yesterday I encountered Papaya, Banana, Mangoes, and Ulu (Hawaiian Breadfruit). The trees are on private property so you can not just help yourself and pick it. Back in the day, these tress grew â€œall overâ€ so we could freely pick. Development of subdivisions, to make way for homes changed all that, but I can still enjoy their beauty from afar.

From my favorite hole-in-the-wall, where the locals eat. The prize on this plate is the sushi grade Tuna, fresh, sweet, meaty, combined with Shrimp Tempura (2) Vegetable Tempura (Green Bean, Onion, Zuchini, and Purple Okinawan Potato) white rice and kimchi flavored tofu cubes.
Portion Control is a must! I ate half, took the rest home for dinner tonight.

I caught a glimpse of myself yesterday, I did a double take, starring at my reflection longer than I normally do, saying to myself, â€œis that me?â€ Hubs noticed and loving said, â€œYes, thatâ€™s YOU, SLIMâ€, LOL.
I have officially lost -150 lbs, weighing 178 lbs. and am -18lbs. from my goal weight of 160 lbs.
I am determined to achieve this in 2021.

Hubs said he had been waiting patiently for 30 minutes We went for a 5,000 step walk and now people watching as Hubs is on a grocery run, Monday Fun!Early morning, 5,000 step walk with Uli Boy, he learned fast to enjoy trails, just like Mom! Lol!

I found the High Trail today, ðŸ˜Š itâ€™s the green line. The low trail is the orange line.
Thatâ€™s where I ran into these two, â€˜creature rockâ€™ perched high on their respective mountain ridges, taking about the weather getting to 80 degrees this weekend! Lol. I swear these rocks are chatty!
Next time I do this hike, Iâ€™m going further, complete the blue loop! Yah!

Iâ€™m beginning to detect a pattern, lol, Monday = EXO Chair focus at the Pilates studio. Translation: Hard.
Let me just say, this Chair teaches Humility. I I return to beginner every time I step on the lever and attempt to lift and balance my weight, 183 lbs. into the sequence of moves.
Today I noticed, Iâ€™m getting much better at it, I did a few more reps! Progress feels spectacular!

Gearing up mentally for Side Plank week at the Pilates studio this week.
I can do regular planks, no problem, but itâ€™s these side planks that challenge me fiercely! Itâ€™ll be a good chance for me to practice on different surfaces, mat, BOSU, Reformer.

Walk Route *To The Top* Trialhead, Cedarbrook, Sunset Canyon.1.14.21 *Baby Snake*I really enjoyed my walk this afternoon, challenge for today was to walk to the top of 3 of the steepest streets in the area, and I did it! It was a 542 ft elevation change = 51 Fitbit floors.
I started wearing my Fitbit last week Tuesday, i love the reports!
