Increase Consistency

Monday, May 26, 2008

I just noticed the "spark streaks" feature. One of my fast break goals was to journal regularly. That is one of the goals I let slip through my fingers. I enjoy writing if I have an issue or thought I am wrestling with. Much of the time my "writing" is long team posts or email to close friends.
I was reminded of that goal at the same time I finally decided to join the community team to enforce at least weekly blogging.
Amazing that the reminder comes just when I decide to do something about it.

Sparkpeople has been a blessing in my life. I feel like I am taking charge of my health for me. I am not trying to stay on a rigid "diet" or forcing myself to weekly meetings. I am incorporating good sense into daily living.

In the past I would diet, lose weight and then get decide that I want to eat like a "normal" person which would then lead me to gain lots of weight. I have learned to accept that daily monitoring of what I eat is MY normal.

This week I had a really big loss after several weeks of staying close to the same weight. I think the difference has been more cardio and water. I'm going to try that again this week!

    Hi Healthygal01,

I have just joined the new quilt team goal of sending encouragement to 2 members each week. I have picked you! I like your post regarding consistency. Definitely important. I haven't done any journaling yet, but maybe I will start. Have a great day.
