Finally Back To Where I want to Be

Friday, August 22, 2008

I have been maintaining for 5 years on Weight Watchers. Usually 130.
Got cocky last year and went to 144. Weight Watcher's Goal is 136. For my 60th birthday I wanted to get back to basics.

I am happy to say I am back to where I need to be. I told my husband to give me a swift kick if I got brave again.

Weight Watchers or Spark People works when we work the program

Hey, I'm doing great! There is 99 DAYS until the end of 2008, so I'm making the very best of these days!! With all the WALL STREET crisis, I told myself that I'm not buying into any of the upset, since I have very little saved except in my "Teacher's Retirement" fund. emoticon I've always figured I'd go back to work when I wasn't dealing with children. My dd, Maggie is 18 today and I'm thrilled. Of course, my son Adam said to me "Oh, Momma, you'd never be homeless, because you always have me." emoticon

Congratulations Mary, love your attitude platitude. We're changing what we can. This is one area where we have control. Hope your husband doesn't have to give you a swift-kick any time soon.

Congratulations on your Weight loss achievment, but more importantly on your maintaining it. It takes some honest introspection when we gain and we say, "I got a little cocky"...Amen, sister - sounds like me talking. I appreciate your candor and honesty!

After 5 years, I bet we'd all get a little cocky. But you saw it and managed to get it back under control. Good for you!!
