So, how's it going??

My team, the Blue Bulls have encouraged us to write another blog. Today the focus is how the Sparkpeople program is going. First off, I'd like to thank Sparkpeople for offering this amazing website which really does offer every tool you could possibly need to lose weight and keep it off. I've been following the program since July 1, 2008, so just over four months and I've lost over 30 pounds! The weight loss is good, and that is why so many of us are here, but I'd like to talk about some other accomplishments.
Since starting the program my health has improved. I used to have horrible heart burn. It was awful! I had tums with me wherever I went. Now I don't need them because I haven't had a problem in months!
Getting in exercise was a foreign concept for me. I couldn't imagine adding one more thing to my day. Now I walk five days a week and I feel great! I've got mor energy and I actually look forward to exercising! On my off days, I actually feel like I'm missing something!
I have more confidence. Its an awful feeling to walk into your closet and wonder if anything will fit or be comfortable. Since losing over 30 pounds, I've been able to bring bags of cloths to Goodwill and buy cloths three sizes smaller!! I'm looking forward to being out of the plus sizes all together!
So the answer to the question of how's it going is...its going great! Do I follow the program perfectly? No, things come up and I've made some "bad" food choices, but I'm learning to make better choices and I know that life happens and I've learned how to get past it and not let one bad choice lead to one bad day, then a bad week, then giving up! I'm learning to be healthy and that sounds pretty good to me! emoticon
