One Week Down....

Friday, March 06, 2009

OK - it's been a week with VERY little cheating - NOT BAD if I do say so myself! The exercixe part is a little harder to get back into - but I'm getting there. I signed the girls and I up for a self defense class at or Police Station. WOW - last night was our first real training (first meeting was all info) and it was 2 1/2 hours of pure cardio!!! it was actually a lot of fun (Other than my 15 year old laughing her butt off at me... she's been sick and couldn't participate in the actual activities - only went to watch (and make fun of Mom - you know what they say a bout payback....) I am extremely sore today. Between the blocks, parleys, and kicks, those creeps out there don't stand a chance! It was great seeing my 12 year old get into it - I had more fun watching her (the kid that NEVER gets in trouble) kicking the Police Sargent and yelling at him.... it was worth all the pain today!

I have to say though, I felt really good this am when I got up (could it be because my 15 year old went back to school after 3 days home sick) - more energized! I went downstairs and did the elliptical! Haven't done that in months! (ok - it was only 13 minutes but that's 13 more than I did yesterday!!!) It's finally getting warmer out too (34 degrees!) I'm gonna have to walk the dogs!

Well - I made it through the first week, and heading into week 2, I feel pretty good about myself for a change! It's about damn time!

You ROCK!! And don't let me here you say it ONLY 13 minutes. Any time you are exercising is time well spent. The self defense class sounds like it was alot of fun and you burned a ton of calories too! Keep up the great work!
