Forgiveness is Good for the Heart

Friday, August 14, 2009

Today the phone rang & I didn't answer it because I recognized the number. I waited & the caller left a message. My husband had gone by the school to pick up copies of my evaluations from last year. I had told him not to, but he obviously did not listen to me. (as usual)
He always wants to ride to my rescue & if someone hurts me, she is his enemy for life.
Anyway, the message was to call her back because she didn't understand what he wanted.
She said she would write me a letter of recommendation if I wanted it.
She signed off with, "I appreciate you, hun."
Go figure.
I sat here all summer thinking that she was saying negative things about me & that's why I wasn't hired. I couldn't understand her motivation for not being helpful.
My heart feels much better.

I'm really glad that worked out well! I know all about leaving the phone to ring, leaving letters unopened, having decided it's bound to be bad news! I'm glad this turned out well for you!
