Hiking and Goals

As I was hiking this morning emoticon emoticonI was feeling pretty good about myself. I hiked for 30 minutes then turned around and came back to the car--the nice thing about going up is eventually you have to come down! Anyway, I decided that I am going to use it to train for the rock and roll 1/2 marathon in Jan. I figure if I can hike up hills and such I can certainly walk 13.6 miles on flat ground, especially since it will be asphalt and much less rocky than a trail is. Now if only I could get the money to do it, I'll be all set.
