Verse of the Day

Saturday, September 05, 2009

“Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”- Matthew 28:18-20

Do you question this command by Jesus? Not necessarily carrying out the Great Commission, but how. The idea of evangelism is scary to so many. And why wouldn't it be when we think of the traditional ways we learn about. Evangelism isn't just going door to door, or preaching the gospel to those you meet. It can be as simple as serving the needs of others. Opportunities we find ourselves in each and everyday. Plainly stated put others ahead of yourself. Don't ask what can I get our of this, rather ask what can they receive out of this from me. Show them the same love that God shows us. An unconditional love, expecting nothing in return. Bottom line is without love no matter what we do it will be lost and of no use to anyone.

God Bless
Matthew 5:16

I agree. Worry more about what our Heavenly Father wants from us than what others want from us.

Thank you so much for that Scripture. It is all about unconditional love. Free our Father in Heaven has given now freely we must give. Who are we to withhold the from others what we truely need ourselves. We must put forth that love into action, which is charity, the greatest! Have a blessed day! emoticon
