Why Grandma Needs a Six Pack

In other blogs I have mentioned that I keep my 15 month-old granddaughter one afternoon a week. She is not walking yet, so I carry her quite a bit.
In & out of the car, in & out of the swing, up & down the hill to the swing & back to the house.
Yesterday I noticed as I was carrying her, my core muscles are so weak that my back was arched & my abdomen was pushed forward. Not good. My posture is terrible!
There are many core workout videos on Spark & I have a stability ball- so strengthening my stomach & back muscles will be my focus for the next four weeks.
This goes along with my decision to narrow my goals so I will have small successes to build on. Otherwise, I'm all over the place with nothing to show for it.
It also occurred to me yesterday that if I was working, I would miss out on these lovely bonding afternoons. No amount of money is worth losing this time with her.
I am very blessed.
