Ancient Chinese Wisdom

Friday, November 27, 2009

A few weeks ago my cousin, Gerry, & I went to a Chinese buffet.
The waitress brought the fortune cookies. Just for fun, I switched them so that she got mine & I got hers.

I opened "mine."
It said, "A purpose is the eternal condition for success."
I've been unemployed since June. My plan was to make the best of it- exercise, get healthy, clean the house, do some painting, maybe start a new career.
I've spent most of my days sitting in front of the TV.

"Hers" said, "You will live a long life & eat many fortune cookies."
She is 83!

Pretty crazy, huh?

LOL I THINK YOU NEED TO LOOK AT YOUR PLAN OF ACTION AND LOOKING FOR WORK IF ALL YOU'VE BEEN DOING IS SITTING IN FRONT OF THE TV. TIME TO GIVE THE TV A BREAK AND WORK THAT PLAN. THE LONGER YOU STAY UNEMPLOYED, THE MORE STALE YOUR SKILL SET BECOMES... I AM SURE THE BREAK HAS BEEN NICE, BUT I WOULD THINK ITS TIME TO GET BUSY !! THAT FORTUNE COOKIE SAID IT RIGHT ! emoticon
