Singing Christmas Carolers and Yeah! I'm home!

Sunday, December 13, 2009

Hi Spark Buddies!

This is so funny!! Check out the link below and type in any Christmas song and see what the little puppets do. Also, type in any non-Christmas song (I typed in Happy Birthday) and you'll get a kick out of the response. One of the funniest I typed in was Jingle Bell Rock... they forget the words half way through.

Also, wanted to let you know that I got home safely Saturday morning and the travel Gods were kind. The temperature has been below freezing for several days but no snow or ice on the roads until last night... now even some areas of the freeways are closed. Talk about making it home in the nick of time! The bad news is that I picked up a nasty cold a few days ago. My throat feels like it is made out of crushed glass and I can hardly breathe through my nose. Hate it when this happens! Uggghh. To top it off I weighed this morning to see if I lost while I was gone and I didn't! I worked out every day and kept my eating on track so this is very sad. I think my body likes the weight I am at.. but I want to be at least 10 pounds lighter! All I know is I highly doubt that I could consistently exercise anymore time than I am currently or consistently eat less. Hopefully, my body will adjust and eventually "release" some weight. All I want is one lousy pound a month! Okay ~ that is my rant for the day LOL.

Hope you all have a sparkling Sunday. Hugs, Rhonda

I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well - hope you get better soon! I'm happy that you made it home before the nasty weather set in. I enjoyed your caroling friends! You always have interesting links to share! Good luck with your "pound a month" goal. I've stayed at the same weight for about a month now - give or take the last pound. It's frustrating, but the past week or two, I haven't been as diligent, either, so it's probably my own fault. I've gotta get back in gear. Get well soon!

Thanks for sharing the site. I tried the same song as Grammyeac, they didn't know it. They were pretty cute.

Sorry you caught a nasty cold. Take care of yourself so you will be well for Christmas.

Hi dear Rhonda! Yay..you are HOME sweet HOME! There's nothing like your own bed and pillow is there? I'm glad you made the flight without weather delays! I'm sorry about the wicked cold..no doubt the germs on the airplane! I swear, the next time I fly I'm going to wear one of those dorky sanitary masks...I don't even care if people gape...I'm the all time germ phob lassie of the universe. Whenever we stay in hotels..DH just sighs and rolls his eyes..I sanitize the remote control on the t.v...(germiest place in the whole room, sanitize all of the facets and the tub and toliet...he tells me I should get a charge back from housekeeping..hee..hee! emoticon butttt....it makes me feel better so he indulges me. I also put a chair tipped up against the door in the pass through room and the outside door with a cup full of change in it..dangled precariously...so that if the door moves..even an inch..the cup will fall off and make a racket...told you...toooooo much security training from the 10 years of banking that I worked in...ekkksss relax..Bobbi!

Try that Green Lemonade..it will put you back in the pink before you know it!

Hugs...your slightly wacky...but still loveable...Sparkie friend! emoticon emoticon

Sorry to hear about the cold and throat!

Every time I fly I weigh more ... maybe you should wait a few days.

The carolers are too cute! But they don't know my favorite Christmas carol -- "Grandma got run over by by a reindeer" !!

Glad you made it home safe and sound, even if you are fighting a cold. The weather here in the East was just made for catching colds this past week, and you're not alone in having caught one.

You did well to maintain your weight while away. It's very hard to stay on track when the routine is so discombobulated! I'm sure you'll start losing again now that you're back in familiar surroundings and routines.
