Getting out of the rut...and into the therapy pool...

Thursday, January 14, 2010

First thing, get out of these pajamas into my swimsuit and off to the therapy pool with 92-degree water. Can hardly wait. It is the best exercise I can get. The weather is warming up but that also means the humidity is going up due to melting snow and that makes my arthritis flare up. Any kind of exercise is helpful for my knees. I won't forget some gentle hand exercises, too. I feel so lucky to be able to go to the therapy pool at the hospital where I work. emoticon

I'm with you about loving the therapy pool ~ but with that temp degree, you must be talking about what I call a hot tub. In our fitness center, the therapy pool is where we do aqua yoga and arthritis exercises, etc. Either one, either name, such a blessing to be able to use on a regular basis.

Have fun in that nice warm water, Teddy! Hope it makes everything feel better!
I know now why you love that therapy pool. I just joined a wellness center that has one and I love it! This winter has been terrible on my arthritis too, but I feel wonderful when I am in that pool. I wish I could sleep there. I am going for a toning class in the pool this evening again. It feels so good to stretch in that warm water.
