Motivating A Friend

Friday, February 26, 2010

I found out this week that one of my long time girlfriends lost her job. I'm off today and had planned on spending the day with her, breakfast, movies, manicure, pedicure, girl time and just listening to her about what happened as I thought she may need to vent. I've called however, she was still asleep and I didn't want to disturb her. It's like, almost lunch with no return call. I don't want to be a pest but a tad concerned about her. She lives with her sister so, at least I'm not concerned about her doing something to herself. Her sister mentioned it was the way she was fired. Her ex-boss told her friends not to communicate with her and I thought they were friends. I fell so bad for her and not sure what to do?! emoticon

I'd go over & hang out with her-doesn't make sense that the 'boss' can dictate who/who can't contact her-if they're truly her friends, they'll contact her anyway!
    be there for her

I say just go by there and drag her out of bed. If she doesn't want to go out, maybe you could just hang out there and let her vent.
