Starting a New kind of Diet Plan

I have found a new diet plan that I really want to commit to doing. It is over seen by a RN and backed by years and years of research and actual patients that have used it. I am willing to make a huge commitment to see if this diet plan is different and will work for me. It is a VERY restrictive diet but afterwards it has a progessive plan to get you back to normal eating without put weight back on. Today is the day I am starting my 7-day Detox. I am feeling very confident going into this but I intend to keep a daily journal while on this plan. For the detox portion I am limited to only fruits, vegetables, water, herbal tea but no sweeteners of any kind and no portien if possible. It says I can add protein if needed but highly recommends trying to go as long as possible without to get the best results. I think I can go 7-days without adding any protein. I really like fruits and veggies so I don't think it will be difficult to do. Well, I will keep you guys posted.

    Sorry, my computer was down. I just have to go without protein to detox on those 7-days. I usually do this once or twice a year since there are so many chemicals in our foods including meats. The diet part I am starting this Saturday.... it is a Liquid HCG Diet....very interesting. I will find the web site that has the doctors notes on how this diet works and post it on the Goonies thread. So far so good. My detox went fine lost 7 pounds, most water weight I'm sure. The first 2 days of the diet part I am supposed to GORGE and eat as much as I possible can till the HCG gets into my system then it goes to a restrictive food list. It is very specific on what you can eat. I will get on here more and post. So glad I have you guys to support me.

    I don't think I've heard of this type of diet before. What's the name of it? I'm curious.

    May I make a suggestion? Rather then cutting out the protein suddenly, you may want to limit it a little at a time, giving your body time to adjust to the change (which would be healthier).

    I wish you the best on this new diet. I could not even think about going with out protein for 7 days. My husband was a professional body builder, and he is very firm about protein. I have been using him, and Sparks for all my questions on my weight loss program. He is so close to everything that Sparks recommend. I will keep with Sparks and my husband.

    I donno...what if you just ate less and exercised more, forever? but good luck, I hope your diet works for you.
