Today is day 19 of 21 for my personal water challenge. I must admit today I'm struggling due to a head cold. Isn't funny that when you trying to accomplish something it never fails that the enemy swoops in and tries to derail your efforts. I truly do not "feel" like getting my my water today BUT I'm going to do it if it takes me until midnight tonight. I have a stuffy head, a runny nose, a bit of a soar throat, and I can't tell if I have a headache a fever or both so needless to say yes, I'm struggling. I've already had 12 oz. so I only have 24 oz. more to go. I will get it in...no matter what. I've come to far to let a measly cold get in my way. Oh I just want to lay down and sleep for days.....LOL.
My personal Water Challenge = 36 ozs. of water a day for 21 days...forming a habit!!
Today is day 19 so I'm posting 19 water drinking emoticons for today!!
First do you have a WalMart or Walgreens nearby- if so I recommend you go and get a Neti Pot which uses a saline solution to help open up your nasal passages. Its a bit weird at first, but it really WORKS without a lot of added medications to help breath better. As for the water, try adding those little flavor packets to go in a pint size water bottle. You will be amazed how fast you get the water down and keep you body hydrated. Try breaking it up with a cup of hot herbal tea. My husband is trying to follow my habit of drinking water instead of juices, coffees, or sodas. I always have 2 32oz. bottles going. One is what I work on with ice cubes in it (since I LOVE ice cold water) and the other is filled up and waiting in the fridge so when I empty the one I am working on I have another all set to go. Doing this cycle helps keep the water flowing and going into my body. Even my 9 year old son has started doing this habit since he sees "good old mom" doing it. Believe me you'll start to feel better and your skin will start glowing and looking more healthy. Hang in there you can do this! 4112 days ago
