Right direction

Monday, March 15, 2010

By Thursday last week, my weight was right up to 126kg. Exactly where I started the 1st of Jan. Well, it is four days later and according to the scale I now weigh 124.2kg. Almost a two kilogram loss! I don't know what I did really. I wasn't THAT good. I know I didn't eat cake, though!
Does this means I'm getting back on track?
I really do hope so.
I'm planning to go to gym this morning and asked my hubby to commit to 3 days a week for the following 3 weeks. Hoping that by the time the new school term starts, I will be back in the saddle and losing weight.
With pain in my knee, I really hope that it will be possible.

Last night I unpacked some clothes a friend gave me. Size 20 and 18. They looked so small!
But I was thinking. Last time I fitted that size I was 24kg lighter. And if I worked really hard, maybe I can lose 24kg's before August - so at least I will be able to wear them for two or three months. It will be by the end of winter, beginning of spring, so I will be able to get a lot of wear out of them still.
Four and a half months. That is about 6kg a month and 1.5kg a week!! Looking at those numbers it is a bit daunting! I haven't had that kind of weight loss for years. Well, if only I can work towards a goal. Maybe it will set me straight.

Hey Karen! Remember, baby steps girl, baby steps! 6 kilos a month is a lot...personally, I would settle on a much lower number. I'm no expert, but think that if you set your goals too high, you could end up disappointing yourself. Keep your spirits up my friend, we're all rooting for you!

It will be challenging, but if you commit to that goal, you can see it through!

Keep setting small achievable goals (and rewards for your efforts!) you can and will lose the 60kg and you will be wearing thoses clothes in no time! Put in the effort and feel proud and successful :) I too struggle but we can do it!

You can do this. Keep thinking about those smaller clothes that you will fit in!

Don't hope that it means you're getting back on track.

MAKE it mean that you're getting back on track!

That's a reasonable goal. Screw your courage to the sticking place and you shall not fail!

I know if you really try you can probably do it - or come really close, you know? Just do some baby steps girl, make sure you are coming in the right directions, you will get there!
