Yesterday I noticed that I am making more conscious decisions. I am not overly concerned with whether or not the decisions were right or wrong but I celebrate that they were at least rational.
The first decision was at the gym. I completed my strength training and noticed that I did not have enough steps to reach my daily goal ( I wear a pedometer). I thought about going really quick to the cardio room to get on the tread mill. I thought to myself "this is what gets you into trouble, you start all gungho and loose momentum and give up". I decided to end my workout and continue to create habits that make exercise a part of my life and not just a quick fad. So I hit the showers and went to dinner with my family to celebrate my cousins 21st birthday!
Here comes the second decision. I ordered a salad with dressing on side. The dressing was high in calories and so delicious I did not want to send it back. I tried something I saw on the biggest loser (dip your fork in the dressing and then a chunk of salad). The tip worked, dressing in every bite! I used less than half of the dressing.
Again, I am not sure if every decision was the "right" one but it was at least made with great thought. What do you think? Any advise?
