This is us one year ago in Craig, Montana. We've been readying the trailer for our trip. Winters in Montana are hard on travel trailers since they are made totally of plastic. In the fall, they need to have all the water removed from them and antifreeze put in the pipes. We've done this ourselves both winters we've had it and learned something new each time. Last year we had to replace the flush valve in the toilet and this year the kitchen faucet leaks, so we are replacing it as well. Better to find it now than when we're at Yellowstone.
The bedding is fresh and clean and I'm starting to take food out to the trailer. We're really excited for this trip and the excitement of Yellowstone. I'm not sure the dogs will be equally as thrilled. The National Park Service has many restrictions on where dogs can go so they will be not happy to be stuck in the trailer at times. We will be staying at Fishing Bridge Campbround and will be walking around the campground quite a bit. This is our first trip to Yellowstone where we've actually stayed there. During prior trips we stayed in nearby towns.
The Lodges in the National Parks have always intrigued me. I love the architecture and the history behind them. PBS had a multi-part special on the Lodges a few years ago that was amazing.
