All Hooked Up and Ready to Go

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

We've loaded the trailer with food and clothes. It's all hooked up to the pickup so tomorrow when we get off of work, we can change our clothes and hit the road.

I've checked the Google maps and it's about 381 miles to our campground. We are planning to not go all the way tomorrow but spend the night in a Walmart parking lot or at a truck stop. We have a generator, so we would have power.

I also checked Weatherbug for the weather. It's not going to be pretty. High chance of mixed snow and rain. The high temperature for Saturday is supposed to be 35 degrees. We're bringing warm clothes that we can layer on.

Joe is planning to do some fishing but he'll freeze his hands off if it's that cold. We may just watch the rivers and the animals. Or we can find one of the cozy lodges and drink hot chocolate by the fire. Sounds good to me!!! After the past couple of days, I could use some relaxation.

The camera is ready to go and I will post plenty of photos. I am not sure about internet access in the Park so I don't know if I will be able to post anything until I get back home.

That sounds wonderful to me-can I stow away? Have a wonderful time, sounds like you will regardless of the weather which is certainly the best attitude to go with. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing all about your trip!

Have fun, Janis! Really looking forward to the photos! Hope the weather improves while you're there, but I'm sure you'll have a good time no matter what!

We plan to have a great time! Hope the dogs agree. emoticon

Springtime in Montana is unpredictible--hot one day, cold the next. There is still melting snow on the mountains near by us making the streams overflow their banks. I've sat out in the sun the past few days, but tomorrow will start a change in the weather.

Thanks for the suggestion, but he is not a rabid fisherperson. He enjoys fishing, but not being miserable doing it. emoticon

i hope you have a really wonderful trip. it sounds like you will have a lot of fun. it still amazes me some places are having cold weather when we have 80 - 90 degrees. your husband should go in the wal- mart in the hunting dept and get those battery operated warm gloves and socks to fish in. i hope you can get on the web and let us know how everything is going. have fun and keep safe
