The wagon and I

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

It's been seven days now and although my grip onto the wagon has been slippery at times, I'm still hanging on for dear life. I still don't feel like I have a foot up on there, but I'm sure with a little perseverance I will get right back onto it.

I keep telling my husband it is like starting all over again. From the very beginning. He keeps on telling me it is not so.:) The only difference is that this time, I'm still struggling very hard to get my head and heart into the game and keep it there. But I'm hopeful that soon I'll find myself going about it all like it is second nature again.

So, after seven days I have lost 1.2kg (2.4lbs).

I'm also finding my way back to the gym! Albeit only for 20 min at a time. For now, that is better than doing nothing.

off topic:
I'm happy to also report that there is an improvement in my son's performance in school, so, hopefully all the hours of therapy and loads of money spend will be worth it!

It is such a relief to write something positive again. Thanks for all your support.

Oh Karen, I'm so happy to hear the 'positive' back in your voice. Getting back on the wagon is never easy, but you are there, and you're doing it, and more power to you!

The best part of this healthy journey is that each day dawns with a new beginning. If I can do just one more thing better than the day before...then I'm making progress!
