Many different people have fought, many have died. Others have given their sons and husbands to make this nation free.

We have a great nation. We have great freedom and sometimes even great prosperity. Yes I am struggling right now financially as are many but, this is still an amazing place. My thoughts and prayers today are with those who have given so much so that I and my family can have such a great life.

We have an amazing amount of choices. I as a woman can choose to walk on the street by myself if I wish. I can read whatever I like and get great ideas to improve my life or not.

We also have an abundance of great food and the freedom to buy or grow what we wish.

Today as I am thinking I am pondering if I am making the most of all the gifts I have been given. I can certainly do better but, I am grateful for the opportunity to make a choice.

I lked this blog. I'm really thankful for my gifts. I remember going through a period of uncertainty because I have so many gifts and wasn't sure what I should be doing with them. I had had a car accident and after a year recovering was just going back to work when I got a phone message from a girlfriend whose husband had left her and her four girls for another woman. She was devestated and had been for a while. When I arrived she was not functioning. So we escaped for a week. We talked, cried, and prayed. We ended up on a beach on our knees asking for some kind of answer for what to do next. I was asking for her, not me. But I felt a hand on my shoulder and a voice said "it is not about you. You are menat to be a faccilitator. Someone is coming through your life. Just be ready." It took all the pressure off me feeling like I was not using my gifts. I came home and was inspired to quit my job and open a bed and breakfast. But who will come to Richmond? my family asked. I said, if it is meant to be they will come. And they have. Fascinating wonderful people. All on a journey. And each one I wonder, is this the one I am meant to help? I try and meet whatever needs they have, I listen, and I encourage them. It humbles me how many times I have asked for help in answer to a question and someone arrives at the B&B with an answer. So often I feel like they are sent to us. The world is a mysterious place. What this whole experience has given me is trust. If I am just open to the possibilities I realize I have every gift I need to handle every situation. Good luck with your journey!
