A BIG little accomplishment.

I have been working on only eating until I am full.
Last night's dinner was tacos. I have been eating on a little plate but the tortilla did not fit. So I decided just to use a regular plate but, that I was only going to have one. I made my taco and realized that I had put too much lettuce and tomatoes. I got a fork and ate part of it out of the taco. Then folded that taco. When I was 1/2 done with the taco I realized I was full. I think I ate one more bite just to "make sure" and then put the whole thing down. it was a big moment to realize that. I really wanted to eat the rest.
One when I just lived with my dad and one brother we went to a family after Thanksgiving day. We had a bunch of turkeys and munchie food available all day long. I ate when I was hungry but I don't really think I ate extra. I played games with the cousins I think I even played a card game with my dad's great uncle. It was a busy and fun day. But, I really did not concentrate on the food. We had to drive about an hour home. When everything was done, we got home and unloaded the car. I asked my dad and brother what they wanted for dinner. They looked at me like I was crazy and asked me why I needed dinner when we had been eating all day. Apparently I was the only one that did not really over eat that day.
I want to get back to eating just enough. I am sure that I ate some junk food that day and treats. But, I also remember that I was hungry when dinner time came.
