Heart Disease, Sugar, and losing weight

Heart disease can be caused by being overweight. The major rissk are high levels of triglycerides (fat in the blood), cholesterol, elevated blood pressure, stress and lack of exercise. Obesity causes an excess of insulin in the system, which raises blood pressure and blood pressure is control with medication b ut best controlled by you with eating the right foods and losing weight. Remove all sodium from your diet and also sugar. Sugar raises blood pressure. Sugar can produce a significant rise in triglycerides. Sugar can produce an acidic digestive tract. Sugar can increase cholesterol. Sugar can damage the pancreas, the heart, the kidney. Sugar promotes excessive food intake in obese people. I always say Why worry about being killed by terrorists when Sugar can kill you 1st.

    I love this and would certainly love to apply it to my own life, but do I really want to?! That's the question that I really have to stop and ask myself. I love sugar, sugar and more sugar and it scares me because it's like I'm out of control with it! I saw on your page where you wrote your story and you said that anyone to ask for help, so I'm asking you what you did to wean yourself down to a little or none at all. What did you do to replace the sugar besides fruit, Splenda, etc. I can't take anything artificial besides the real sugar. Your response will be so needy and helpful and thank you already for the inspiration you've given!

    I am cutting sugar out of my diet. Before I started eating healthy, I used to eat sweets every day, but now I don't. I feel better that I stop eating all of the unhealthy junk foods. I have lost 27 pounds so far. I am living with diabetes. My doctor took me off of insulin because my blood sugar is now in control.
