Hanging In There

Good Morning My Spark Friends !

What a whirlwind 2011 has been for me ! Lots of challenges and opportunities to drown myself in comfort food. The really good news is that I haven't done it ! I log in each morning and check my 'friend feed" and that's about it. I have not been tracking food, exercising on a schedule or weighing in.

This morning I weighed just the same as I did before the holidays, and that was fantastic ! The months I'd spent in "Spark" training have served me well. Although there has been no loss, there has been no GAIN ! Prior to this there would have been double digit pounds for certain.

Later this month I leave for California and Nevada, where five of my children and 11 of my grandchildren live. I will spend two weeks helping with new baby Jaxson and his 2 year old big brother. From there I will travel to Reno where my youngest son is scheduled for a delicate surgery. I am so glad that I can be of help with his two little ones. I will have opportunity to visit my other Reno kids, family and friends. When my 'work' there is finished I'll move on to Battle Mountain. There I will give 'momma love" to a daughter who is struggling, and her two boys.

I believe that my healthier eating habits, along with meditation and yoga, make it possible for me to gather balance in my life. We all get thrown a few curve balls now and then, it's just a matter of 'hanging in there', not allowing the outside to sidetrack the inside. My Spark friends, YOU are a touch stone for me. I think about you, read your blogs, care about your lives and am ever grateful for your support. Together we will work out the details... Namaste

How lucky your children and grandchildren are to have you! And just think of all the cardio you will get chasing the little ones! Not sure how the meditation will go under those circumstances, I can't even manage it with one feisty pup! Hugs!

be careful though because when you get secure in the thought you can do it alone, it creeps up and whips your rear. That took about a year for me now I have about 10-13 lbs to lose. That is awesome about the no weight gain that gose to show you are living a new lifestyle... keep up the good work!

You have a wonderful attitude, and are obviously full of love for your children, grandchildren and friends. I hope you have a great trip, and that you enjoy your time with your family. I hope everything goes well with your son's surgery.
