Will I ever be a fashionista?

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

I do believe that looking your best is important. I just don't practice it. I don't even blow dry my hair....really. Not even in winter. I am lucky that sometimes I can get away with my hair looking good air dried.....but just sometimes. Rarely wear makeup...not that I don't need to.

So I got keratin yesterday for the first time to battle the coming frizzies and what comes with a new do? A new wardrobe. As I looked at clothes and bought nothing, it occurred to me that I spent years not being able to afford nice clothes. Now that I can, everytime I shop, I don't buy anything because "I am just about to go down a size anyway."

Two years ago, I did get in great shape and at weight I was happy with (Thanks Spark People). Got rid of my clothes bought new ones. One pair of pants I never wore. Life got busy, Weight came back.....and I've been "about to get back" for two years.

WIll a jeans and tshirt girl ever dress up?
When do I feel safe buying more expensive clothes?
I can reward weight loss with clothes but what little free time I have, I exercise. No time to shop.

You can get back there. You'll have to do somethings you don't like but you can get back there.
