Time with friend

Friday, June 10, 2011

I had a really good night, last night. My friend called me to see if I wanted to do something. We decided to go to a movie, so we checked out the times. We only had a half hour to eat something before the movie started, so we went to Arby's. It didn't quite fit into my daily calories, but I love their Grilled Chicken & Pecan Salad Sandwich. I got just that, and water to drink. It was really good, and I didn't go very far over my calorie range. I don't feel bad, because it was worth it to have a nice time with my friend.

After we ate, we went to the movie. We watched Kung Fu Panda 2. It was pretty good. I had wanted to go see Bridesmaids, but the timing didn't work out. She wanted to see the new Pirates movie, but I haven't seen all of the others, so we compromised on Kung Fu Panda 2. It was a pretty good decision.

I was just glad to be spending time with her. She's having a rough time, and I hate that she feels so alone a lot of the time. She knows I'm there for her, but she's not very good about asking for help. I wish I could do more for her, but I'm always there to listen and I try to do stuff with her to help take her mind off things.

Anyway, after the movie, we went back to her place, which is in such a tiny town that it's pretty much in the country. We went on a walk and talked for almost an hour. It was a nice walk, but I'm paying for it. I was wearing flip flops, and I got two huge blisters. I will spare you the details, but the one on the left foot is pretty bad. It will be fine, though. I would do it again, because I really wanted to get my walk in and it was nice to get to talk to her.

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend! I should be on here some. Talk to you later!

I read it! LOL I agree about the Subway.....if I buy a 12 inch I will eat the whole thing (or close to it anyway), where if I buy a 6 inch I am satisfied. I am just used to overeating! emoticon

Thanks everyone! It was a good night.
My blister on my left foot is still bothering me, but if I tape gauze around it before I workout it cushions it enough that it doesn't hurt much.

Bridget, I think the sandwich was 750 calories! :) I'm not feeling bad about it, though. I wasn't that much over my calorie range and it was worth it. I'm planning on getting avocado next time I go to Subway, too. I love avocado! I go to Subway more often than I used to. I get their veggie sandwich pretty often, but recently I figured out it costs the same as a chicken breast sandwich. Well at least the footlongs are both $5. I'm not sure about the 6". I usually get a footlong and save half for later, because it doesn't cost that much more. The last time I went, I got the chicken breast, and thought I'd give it away. I ended up eating it, though. That was fine, because it fit in my calorie range for the day, but I don't think I should try that again, unless I want the chicken breast. So, now that I've bored you with a dumb story about a sandwich, I guess I'll end this. LOL Maybe you won't even read it since I'm commenting on my own blog. :)

I saw Bridesmaids the other nite with my sisters. It was hilarious, but sooo much swearing. I don't know why they feel they have to have all that horrible language in movies for people to like them.
Your friend is soooo blessed to have a friend like you nearby to support her. I know I feel very blessed to have you in my life! You are the best! Have a great weekend!
