Reality Check

Saturday, October 29, 2011

I mentioned before that I had signed up for 2 body pump classes a week. Well between that and my personal training...my knees and foot started yelling. I'm not sure what to do just yet. I am icing them and taking ibuprophen when it's really painful. I'm trying to assess the situation and take it one step at a time. I did not go to Body Pump last week. I'll see how I am doing on Monday.

My challenge for Halloween was to write down my plan. So here I go. IF I decide to have any candy I AM LIMITING IT TO 5 PIECES on Halloween night.

I was quite hesitant about getting the surgery to finish up the reconstruction I had from my surgery in 2010. (Breast cancer---Got a blood clot and could not even have surgery until I was off the warfarin. I ended the warfarin medicine in May of this year but had also regained some weight so didn't even want to see the doctor until I got most of that off.) I did get it off. I went to see him and as we were talking everything just seemed so right. I decided during the office visit that I would finish this up! The surgery is scheduled for Dec. 21st and I am so happy and content about it that I can not believe it. I have 7 weeks before that surgery to get as much weight off as possible. I am asking my trainer to work with me three times a week until then---if she will. I will also try to stay on the lower end of my calorie range as much as I can. As my husband would say, "Work will win when wishy-washy wishing won't". This is my time. This is real AND I CAN DO IT!
