Help! My page has been taken over by the grape juice ads!

Monday, January 09, 2012

Hi. Are you experiencing the intrusive Grape juice ads that replace part of the navigation bar on the right of your page? Arghh!!! Also my backgrounds are now Welche's grade juice backgrounds! I'm sooooo annoyed. I come to SparkPeople for help and refuge. Sticking food ads in my face is definitely making me want to switch to a different site, especially since I don't drink fruit juice. It may be healthy for some, but for me, it messes up my blood sugar levels.

Anyone know any other sites that let you log food for free, but that don't stick the ads in your face like this?

I think I'm going to go to paper and pencil. I'm not kidding.

I used to used fitday dot com, but it doesn't have near all the helpful features that SparkPeople has. Weight Watchers now gives lifetime members at goal weight free access to eTools, but if you are used to calories, tracking PointsPlus would be quite different.

Best wishes for finding just what you need and want. -Marsha

Fruit juice is garbage in my opinion. I have spark popups a lot.

If you have firefox you can add them to the Adblock list so you don't have to see them.

Mine have the glycerna ads- appropriate since I´m subscribed to the diabetes team. BUT, I´ve found the site here soo useful, that I can easily egnore the ads, no problem. If you find another site that suits you better, go for it!

I know the ads can be irritating, but that's how they're able to keep this site free. You might try contacting support about the problems you're having and see if they can look into it. I'm sure they don't want to run people off with the advertising!
