“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 NIV

I have this friend, he has done some great things, but there are times he could have done far greater things. You see he has this stubborn streak that prevents him from relying on those close to him. Alright, its me, and I can reassure you that all that has changed. Because of this change in thought I believe I can reach this goal I set over 2 years ago, get my weight back to around 200 lbs. give or take a few. I have learned over these two years something you'd have thought I knew. Me being a pastor and all this should be a no brainer, but even we pastors are prone to stupidity once in a while. Yes I failed to Ask God for help, Seek Him in all that I am doing (including taking care of His Temple), and to Knock on His door to talk with Him about it. However, that has all changed. He hit me over the head during the holiday season, and woke me up. It took me nearly three weeks to get back on SP, another accountability partner, but I have here now. In addition to Himself, He also told me to use my loving, wonderful wife as an accountability partner.

Remember folks we are all in this together, with each other, and with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is His Temple we are born into and responsible for. If anyone needs accountability, all you have to do is ask someone you are close to. That may be a friend or family member, or it may be someone here at SP (I'm willing to help).

God Bless
