Gung Hei Fat Choi!

Sunday, January 22, 2012

I have been married to an Indonesian for 20 years. His Dad was Chinese and his Mom is indonesian. He moved to Canada at the age of 13.

Our children, the last children of my hubby's 8 brothers and sisters, are the only Asian/Caucasian mixed. They are spoiled for both reasons!
Jess is the family's China doll. She has beautiful almond eyes and is very pale though out the winter months, but nice and golden in the summer.
Brandon on the other hand, is very caucasian with only almond eyes to show the Asian side.
I am called the light bulb as you can pick me out of any picture of the whole family... 50+

Family mean everything to them, and me as well. Every Saturday night, many gathers at my Sis-in-law's (Where Mom, who will be 95 in April) is being cared for. Mahjong is the way to pass the night, after a wonderful meal (potluck) that always includes noodles. Noodles represent longevity!
You never know who will be there or how many.

Last night, the New Year was celebrated, tho it officially starts Monday. The year of the Dragon, my year!
