5% Fall Challenge Assignment #4 Trigger Foods & My Solution.

Friday, September 21, 2012

As you can see we are taking about out trigger foods now. So here it is the good the bad and the ugly of it.

My trigger foods depend on the situation I am in.
But I love lays chips, British chocolate, twizzlers, nuts, snack cakes, ice cream, POPCORN is my favoirte, sweet stuff and salty stuff.
If part of a meal it is always bread related, biscuits, crackers, cornbread, sliced bread, etc.
I see in this that it is usually something room temp. Which I never thought about before.

Becasue my DH does not have a weight problem we usually have all of the above around the house.

I am an EMOTIONAL eater. If I am really happy I eat, really sad I eat, stressed I eat more. With family I eat, with friends I eat, BORED I eat more.

I usually do this in the late afternoons or evenings after dinner. I tend to go for snacky things after dinner when I am bored for the most part.

I use to do EFT(Emotional Freedom Tapping) and that really helped me reduce my stress/bored eating. So I need to go back to this and get it under control again. It was a part of my Paul McKenna plan for healthy eating. So I need to get serious about doing them both.

But if the EFT does not work then I need to STOP, DROP and ROLL.
Stop what I am doing (meaning eating)
Drop what I have in my hand or put my plate/bowl down.
Roll away from the food and go do something else, read a book, call a friend, play a computer game, get on SP or exercise.

And I am going to practice MODERATION with all the food I eat.

This is a great emoticon blog, emotional eating is a big problem for so many people, and the stop, drop and roll is a great point on how to handle the situation.

Whoa - talk about tapping into things! Love the stop, drop and roll - have to remember that. I'm going to call myself an oxygen eater. If I'm taking in oxygen I want food to go with it!

Lots of food for thought here emoticon
