Results today...

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

I have my appointment with the surgeon today to get the results from my breast biopsy on Monday. My husband will go with me and we've talked about the possibilities and what to do next, so I am as prepared as I think I can be. I'm concerned, and realistic. I might lose my breast, and gain the rest of my life without cancer. That's a worthwhile trade off. I wonder how much this breast weighs? : )

Thanks Meemah2013! I will be having a double mastectomy on Feb. 14. Happy Valentine's Day! My husband will be there waiting when I wake up. He will hold my hand. My kids will either call or come. I am lucky because I am so loved by family and friends. I have lots of support, and I'm hoping for a good outcome. With hope and prayer I think I will pull through and be strong enough to meet the next challenge. I'm hoping for clear lymph nodes! I'm praying for healing! I'm working through the negative thoughts and hoping for the best. I want to play with my grandkids and watch them grow up. The caboose of ten is three years old, and the oldest is 13! I want to play and watch and cheer them on to whatever life holds for them and to show them how to be brave when hard times come. I have a lot of things I want to do besides my bucket list and I'm hoping to finish a lot of them which might take a good long time! I'm going to give it my best shot! : ) I have faith in my doctors, and I'm trying to keep my spirits high.

I wish you the best at your appointment. It sounds like you have a good support in your hubby. I love your attitude toward potential outcome. A little humor helps too! emoticon
