Just a Run-of-the-Mill Good Day

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Today was not a bad day. I slept a little bit better last night, so that was good. I had a good day at work. I found out we're going to have two more days to get our grades wrapped up for the semester because so many students have been missing school because of the flu. They will need to have a chance to turn in their make-up work, and of course, we'll need time to grade it!

I also found out that I will NOT have to put in a 12-hour day next week like I thought. The way our parent-teacher conferences are set up, we teach for 8 hours and then have 4 hours of conferences afterward. Well, our administration decided to postpone conferences because there were too many sporting events scheduled for the same night. While I'm a little curious as to why all of these events were even allowed to schedule on the same day as p-t conferences, or why no one noticed all of these conflicts until a week before conferences, I am feeling a bit relieved that I won't have to do them next week. Of course, I won't be so happy about this change when March rolls around and we have TWO conference days in the same week instead of one like we would have if we'd had conferences next week.

I had to leave work as soon as I could so that I could get our newest cat to the vet before they close. He will be getting fixed tomorrow. We won't be able to bring him home until Friday. I'm missing the little guy! He's got such a cool personality...just so friendly, playful, and easygoing. (Some of our cats can be kinda grumpy, aloof, etc., so it's cool to have a cat that is just plain a "nice guy." *Giggle*)

I weighed in at 298 this morning, down .2 from yesterday, but overall, still higher than I had been a few days before.

Hope everybody has a good night!

Wow !! Your scheduling sounds busy.
We have 3 cats..but they are all outside working cats..I love our cats..they do a good job of mousing and keeping the little critters out of the barns.
Keep on working the program and it will come off.. Have a good night..!
