OK! I don't know why some of these words just pop into my head at times, but this morning as I was singing in the shower, (a nonsense song from ages and ages ago, maresy doats and doesy doats, etc.), my thoughts turned to Doldrums.
I have an easy shortcut to Dictionary.com on my desktop, so, when I think I know what a word means, but I want to know the deeper meaning and how to apply it, it's only a click away.
Doldrums: A depressed or bored state of mind. Is that you?
That's not me! Happily, I am not depressed. In fact, I am just the opposite.
I am free!!
Doldrums: A state of inactivity or stagnation. That's ME! Maybe you too?
Feeling stuck? Yeah, me too. Holiday weight gain? Yeah, me too. Neglected your great exercise habits? Yeah, me too.
Doldrums: A belt of light winds or calms along the equator.
Hmmm Muffin Top = Belt along the equator
The weather conditions experienced in this belt, are a hazard to sailing vessels. Funny how the mind works, (or at least my mind), this made me think of BRIDGIEEE's Blog from yesterday, The Fart that Almost Altered My Destiny. You really gotta read what she linked us to, but make sure you pee first, (and finish reading this blog of course).
OK, I know you're anxiously waiting for me to make my point.
