Stopping in to say Hi and prove I still am around.

Been a very busy month in December and up to now. Gun club renewals are complete! I processed 700 memberships and 63 new member applications. We had 102 members that did not renew, but are only adding 44 new members this time around to bring our paying members numbers back down to 675. Believe me that was a lot of paper shuffling, computer data entry and tracking of dues money and verifying members information. And all this was done each evening for the past 4 months or so. So now that renewals are done, just have to get the approval on the new members from the Board, set them up and help run the Orientation in February. Once I get those dues collected and finish up any paperwork I can have a life again for a few months. emoticon

But of course now my husband was elected on the Board of Directors for the gun club, so we will be more involved than ever. And he has been elected on the Board for one of the Ham Radio clubs we have joined. The past month has been a flurry of meetings and club type events between the gun club and Ham Radio clubs. Never a dull moment!

The Big Cold snap here in MN was COLD. emoticon No other way to say it. We stayed warm at both work and home. Jim drove me to work several days so my car could stay in the garage at home. Plus he has heated seats. I did have last weekend off and heard it was crazy at work. Everyone panicking about Sunday night temp drop below -30 so they literally bought out the store. Maggie our greyhound wasn't too happen, she made very fast and short trips outside. emoticon

We have tried to be somewhat good. Too many meetings and Holiday events that pushed our calories up higher than normal. Plus with it so cold and being so busy, we didn't walk as much. We did hit the malls a few times to walk, but it is just not as good as being outside.
I still managed to hang in around 185-187lbs so haven't gained, but haven't lost either.

I have made it about half way on my Walk Across America. I just hit the eastern edge of Kansas over the weekend. emoticon

Other than that, things are going good. Work is calming down now that the Holidays are over. Will be going in for my mammogram the end of Jan. Assuming I get the all clear and stuff from my oncologist the following week I plan to take some time off and relax and maybe even have some me time. And get some emoticon . Sleeping until 8 am or so is pure heaven for me. Just want to make sure before I use up vacation time in case I might need it for something if my mammograms come back with issues. Keeping my fingers crossed, it has been just over the 5 years now since I went through Breast Cancer in Jan of 2008.

That's about all for now. Hope all my Spark friends are doing well and didn't think I fell of the face of the planet or something.

Hi there! I remember you from when I first joined the Cycling SparkTeam. It's great to hear from you again.

It's so nice to see someone heavily invested in the gun industry. I have an appreciation for and a healthy respect for firearms. I really don't know a thing about them, but I think they are very cool in general.

I am wishing you all the best with the mammogram results.

It's so nice to see your post!

Glad to hear from you. Yes, it has been cold, and windy too. See you on the Walk Across America.

Wow! And I thought I've been too busy to be on Spark! Looks like we both took the same months off. It has been horribly cold where you are. I call my sisters a lot, but sometimes they are pretty grumpy when they don't get out! It is warmer than usual here and of course we have had no rain and we desperately need it. Hopefully I'll see you around more.

Good to see you if only for a bit. Your update was great! I feel like I was right there running with you and Jim! Bob likes groups, too, but he didn't care for the HAMM one. Part of his problem from PTSD that can't seem to get help with meds or talking about it is he doesn't do well with large crowds anymore.

You two take good care of yourselves and we'll see you after your work is complete.
